Small Reunion..

October 2nd, 2005 by cychlone

Just went back from a ’small reunion’ with high school buddies in Citraland. Starting at 10 morning, we were so into the talk till 3 pm. Hoho… Where were we hanging ? McDonalds! Staffs there must be very furious at us. With just small order, we occupied the place for a long 5 hours, witnessing 3 birthday parties. I still remember those kids name, Cynthia, Sarah and Mario! I guess if the cleaning service ladies had not came to us with the ‘classical-tactic’ of tidy up tables, we would have still sit there.

Although just 5 persons, it was a very lively reunion. There were so many things to talk about with chit-chat from where and what are our old friends doing now, experience from ‘very soon to be doctor’ Yani, till a little recall- 8 years back when we first met in high school and life during that time. It’s no surprise as we spent the first two years in the same class during high school (Me and Yani even were in same class all the time during 3 years of many calls ‘most pleasant time in life’) and haven’t met for quite long time, 4 years ago if I’m not mistaken

Leaving McDonalds, we (Me, Yani, Yodi, Erna, Kitin + her BF) just walked around

from the very bottom floor up to the top one without really know where we would go. Somehow, someone came up with idea of taking photo! ^_^ And suddenly we were busy looking for photo studio with quick service and reasonable price.. Having gone up and down, we ended up in Fun Photo, taking 4 pics from the photo box and left at 5.30.

It was a really good time and I’m looking for another reunion with my old friends.. I guess maybe in next month during Lebaran in Batam…

English Premier League

August 28th, 2005 by cychlone

New season of English Premier League kicked off 3 weeks ago. And for me, this competition is simply the best.. Not just because of Liverpool Football Club, the club I’ve supported since 2K, but in term of player’s quality and competition atmosphere, I personally think that it is far better than others. Saturday and Sunday evening are going to be lively again! =p

Football has always been an interesting subject to discuss among friends. Speaking of English Premier League, I have friends who are fans of Arsenal and Manchester United. Ha..ha.. It can be quite funny sometimes that one would make fun of others when his favourite team lost a match. Last season, maybe I was the ‘most-mocked’ one. Very simple, just take a look at Liverpool final place in the standings. But in the end of competition season, I was the one with the big smile after LFC amazing triumphed over AC Milan for Champions League title. This very season, I’m convinced that my favourite club will improve from last year in the domestic plays!

My sister was a fan of Manchester United, and Whenever we met, there has always been a little bit chit-chat about soccer esp EPL. Ho..ho.. many would be surprised if I told them. It’s a very rare case that a woman has interest in Football. But she’s really indeed! Playing computer games of the famous Football Manager, she even participated in her school Futsal team ! Woww.. Two Thumbs Up.

Sometimes your favourite team result will affect your emotion depends on how much you’re into it. I do experience it but I don’t belong to those who are so fanatic about their supported club. It’s a little bit strange for others to hear that someone is skipping their classes after a certain football club has lost in a match.. But for me, it’s becoming a common sense after watching my friend! Ha..ha.. Have a friend who is in that group!

Recently, I and my colleagues started a competition called "Result Forecasting" in EPL result. I’m the one in charge for calculating points and announces the standing after the result. Well, it’s not gambling for sure.. There’re certain rules in calculating the points and in the end, person with the biggest point will be rewarded with yet to be decided prize. Each week, every of us has to submit his prediction the day before the weekly match starts. This game has brought us fun and indirectly will count in bringing a fun at work environment!

Football indeed has the power! Just like what the advertisement said..

3 Events

What’s the use of creating a blog if you’re somehow lazy to update it ? Ha2.. a typical not easy yet not difficult question. Me myself can be categorized to this "lazy people" bucket.

Many things happened since my last blog. Outing, Flash Hometown Return, and Short Leave.

Many joyful and also unpleasant things happened during the trip to the Sunda Strait located resort. A total of almost 80 people departed from Jakarta at 10.00 am. Arrived at 12.30 pm, we were not allowed to check in to the hotel, leaving us waiting in the bus for 1.5 hours.. wheew.. It was so crowded thanks to Holiday season. Having had a gathering to get know of other colleagues, we went to beach enjoying beautiful sunset shore, with ‘eye-catching view’ from Caucasian =p Everything seemed OK till suddenly someone dragged me toward the sea and got me wet. When I walked back, I realized that I was carrying my cell phone inside my pocket. Oh my God! Already drench with flash light on, indicated that I’d be going to have it repaired T T.

In the evening, we had a wonderful dinner and after that enjoyed a series of games. Unfortunately, our team didn’t manage to win not even a single prize =(. Carried on with dancing competition, we were easily eliminated by a one man show from other team who was crowned as Dancing King later on. Night crawled but things got hot. Everyone enjoyed the dancing party which lasted till midnight.

The next day morning, I finally relished the chance to try on surfing. Whow.. It was so wonderful! Along with banana-boat ride, we spent almost 3 hours. The feel of getting smashed by sea wave was very exciting. But getting too much of it made me sick the next day. Leaving me caught in flu and took a day of sick leave.

I went back to home sweet home only to be in Jakarta again the next day along with my families. There was thing to do at home. It was a very nice to be at home again although it’s just 5 months from my last trip.

Back in Jakarta, I spent the rest of my 3 days leave taken with families who were in town for graduation of my cousin. Even though Jakarta can be called as big city, I found myself spending the remaining days of my leave in Mangga Dua. Ha..ha.. Keeping auntie-auntie shopping from morning till night! Woof.. Up till now still wondering why they were so fond of that place!

Back in work a day prior to their leaving. Short leave had a quite big influence in productivity =p he..he.. well, still in holiday mind-set.

No..no.. Go back to work! Wake Up!!

Anyer Trip

June 18th, 2005 by cychlone

Wow.. Finally I have my own blog. Heard about this 4 characters word for quite a long time. Created one already in one of the free blog sites but somehow I forgot the address =p Several times wanna create one after friendster add this feature, but keep delaying again till today. Raising up cloth’s sleeve with piece of banner on forehead stated ‘Must do it today’. Hahazz.. Too exaggerating!

Just got back from a tired yet nice trip. Start at 8.30, we head to Anyer, ho..ho.. me just sitting beside the driver. Mr.Iyan, my colleague. Woof.. For what ? An early survey team for dept’s outing in the next few weeks. Two something hours passed unexpectedly, thanks to chit-chat along the trip.

What does this trip mean ? I got a chance to see ’sea’ again! Quite excited considering that sea has already been part of my life, yet It’s really hard to find it during my study years in Bandung, and even now in Jakarta. The breeze of sea wind reminded me of my home sweet home, a peaceful place with all chilhood memories.

Having visited 3 places we went straight back to Jakarta again. Sound of sea wave n blue colour of sea hung in my mind but suddenly all were gone? What’s up ? Car’s horn and queueing of vehicles waiting for toll entrance had taken them away, whispering soft words : "Welcome to Jakarta my friend.."
